Released by Berthold in 2003, Senatus is the third Berthold Exklusiv designed by Professor Werner Schneider (Schneider-Antiqua, Schneider Libretto).

Senatus strongly reflects back to ancient Roman lettering yet meets the demand for both functional and aesthetic quality.

It is a single typeface design of Roman capitals, with two variants: one with old style figures and the other with lining figures.
