The Cosmic font is inspired by a Slurpee Chank drank in 1976. “It was cold, it made my tongue pink, and it made my brain hurt,” says Chank. He converted it from memory to font format in 1995.
In 1997, Mister Claes Källarsson made the font bigger and bolder, calling it Sooper Cosmic. Because of the hairline-style negative space, these two fonts looks best at sizes of 60 point and larger.
