This typeface is patterned after the lettering produced by the Marsh Stencil Making Machine, which was an indispensable part of industrial shipping departments in the mid-twentieth century.

The font is unicase, but includes a “this side up” pointing hand at the florin position, and a recycle symbol at the German double-s position.
