Cassandre was the last typeface designed by the great poster artist and typographer A.M. Cassandre (1901–1968).
After having been rejected by both Berthold and Olivetti, this work remained unfinished until 2003. In its original version the typeface gives a strange impression, a kind of typographic platypus.
Cassandre Original includes only the letters drawn by A.M. Cassandre. Cassandre Normal and Bold are completed and expanded interpretations of the original drawings of 1968.
