In the early 1900s, star struck movie goers would flock to the local movie houses to see the latest release in glorious black and white. Twenty-five cents bought a ticket, a soda and a bag of hot buttered popcorn enjoyed as the flickering images on the screen transported the audience to another place and time for an hour or two. Short blocks of text told you where the story took place, who the heroes and villains were and other important details.
