Outras Fontes is an independent digital type foundry based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It was founded in 2006 and it is currently managed by Ricardo Esteves Gomes, a graphic/type designer and researcher. The name “Outras Fontes” simply means “other fonts”.

Our work is focused both on developing brand new typefaces - that you can see in our catalog of fonts - and also in exclusive custom typefaces. We work to provide other options of type designs to the typographic community all over the world, giving value to some of the main characteristics of Brazilian people: creativity, diversity and beauty.
