Damien Gautier studied typography in the Atelier de création typographique in École Estienne, Paris.

He is a graphic designer and after co-founding the Trafik team, he opened the office “Bureau 205” in 2010. He works in cultural, institutional and industrial areas for identity and editing projects. He often goes in several schools and professional organizations to teach typography.

He also opened the online shop "Editions Deux-Cent-Cinq" where to find books and fonts.

He is the author of Typographie, guide pratique (2nd edition, Pyramyd), a book which shows and demonstrates how to use typography with computer tools (in French) and Mise en page(s), etc., manuel, (Niggli, in German ; Pyramyd, in French).

He offers his fonts through his Damien Gautier foundry.
