It was during my passage as a student at António Arroio School (Lisbon), that I learned to elaborate letterings and calligraphies for several graphical applications. But it was working at T-Raso atelier that I started learning and drawing fonts using new digital processes.
In 2000 I had the opportunity to do a printing workshop with moveable characters so that I could better understand this technique. That same year, I went to the Fontshop TYPO BERLIN 2000 conference, which gave me great strength and determination to continue developing my fonts. This year I started with my personal website VANARCHIV, where I present my type designs projects in chronological order, from 1997 until now. Last year I participated on a course at my university about drawing typefaces using a digital process. Since 2000/2004 I have been studying visual design at IADE (Lisbon), which has taken me a lot of time from my typographical work.
A special thanks to all the community of TYPOPHILE forum, for all the conversations and helping through all these years.
